Dr. Matthew Kerr is a registered clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (#5164). He completed his PhD program at the University of Ottawa. Prior to that, he completed the M. Sc (Clinical Psychology) at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and his B.A. Honours in Psychology at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
Clinically, Matthew works with adult (18-65) individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, symptoms related to traumatic experience in childhood or as an adult, dissociative disorders, psychosis and schizophrenia, life-adjustment or grief reactions, and with individuals processing the effects of unhealthy or abusive relationships.
In addition to his work with ACTS, Dr Matthew Kerr is on staff at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre and maintains a private practice. He supervises graduate practicum students and interns in both settings.
Matthew provides psychological services for ACTS clients in the West end of Ottawa, and also provides supervision services on the ACTS team.
